Long Time No Talk!
Dearest Family!
Are you all alive and well!? Mom is the only one that I am getting stuff from and of course my ever loyal writers Grandpa and Grandma Hunter. They even get my cousins to write me! :) I just want to hear how you are all doing and especially about your families!!!! This week has been a ride! You'll see from the pictures and from last week that we went hiking all day in caves. It was so much fun and we laughed a lot! I got a really bad sliver in my pinky though and Elder Hall tried to perform surgery and couldn't stop shaking so Elder Charles had to take over. It was a successful surgery and I still have my pinky. But one of the members that came along car broke down so we had to stay a while at a gas station while the Elders tried to figure out how to fix it. I kept saying that if my dad was here, he could fix it in a jiffy. :) Sadly, that night we taught a very powerful lesson after having just watched the new Joseph Smith movie to Danna and she said she wasn't interested anymore and dropped us. Who wouldn't be interested in having a better life!? That was hard but we have bounced back! The next day we went out to contact some referrals and met a new investigator named Megan! She is from Connecticut and is curious about looking into religions so she went to the Temple to learn more. She said that with all the churches she has visited, none of them have had the Holy Spirit yet! I can't wait until she comes to our ward! :) When we went to the fair we got a junior sheriff badge and firefighter badge. We have been writing fake tickets out to the sisters ever since and they even gave us mustaches so we could be official. It's Sheriff Seguin and Captain Haggerty now. :) We've had a lot of fun with that and don't worry; we only do this at workouts or at night when we are all done. Otherwise, we are a 100% serious and always feeling the Spirit! :) We have seen so many miracles this week. We had two girls decide to come to church on Sunday that aren't members and we are teaching them this week! Their roommate is a member and brought them so they already have a solid background! Every member is a missionary and it goes so much better if it is a member referral so I hope you are all getting to work on that. Yes I am a missionary now. :) This Sunday was also the last musical fireside with President and Sister Donaldson. It was up in the area that was just barely added to our mission and there was a lot of pressure to let them know that San Diego has the best missionaries in the world. There was an AMAZING turn out and around 700 people showed up to our fireside. Some even came from our ward! It was very powerful and the singing was amazing. There is a group of missionaries from the Islands and they sang some of the songs. It was so good it brought people to tears. Sister Seguin and I sang in the choir so it was really cool to be a part of. We then sang God Be with You Till We Meet Again to the Donaldsons and lots of tears were shed. There are some Elders that I haven't gotten really close to that are leaving pretty soon so it will be sad to see them go. Then that night we got the surprise of a life time! They added Sister Kunz to our companionship! Her companion is going to a Spanish area for full proselyting so Sister Kunz is back with me again. Can you believe I'm already back with my MTC companion again!? We are covering both areas and it's going to me madness of miracles for sure. I finally get to teach in a family ward as well. I'm pretty excited about it for sure. I'm continually reminded of how blessed I am to be on this mission. God lives and is so aware of every single one of His children. I feel so blest to be His hands to carry out this important work. There is nothing more important than this message we have to share and I can't wait to continue to share it with the people around me that so desperately need it. Jesus Christ is our Savior and the Atonement changes each one of our lives every single day if we will let Him in. It is so worth it so just do it! Family, I just love you all so much and think about you every day. I picture taking you all on the tour and I can't wait until I actually get to do it!
Love you so much!
